Terms of use

Last updated 18 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Tidysum. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Tidysum is provided by Mark Wu Limited, company number 06463759, registered office Saunders House, c/o Sky Accountancy, 52-53 The Mall, London, W5 3TA. Email hello@keptorganised.com.

2. What Tidysum is, and is not

Tidysum helps UK sole traders record expenses and see which may be allowable. It is not an accountancy, tax or legal service, and it does not file anything with HMRC.

AI suggestions are guidance based on published HMRC rules and can be wrong. You decide what to claim, you are responsible for the accuracy of your own tax return, and you should ask your accountant when unsure.

3. Your account

You must be 18 or over and give accurate details. Tidysum is designed for sole traders, not limited companies. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.

4. Your data

You own what you put in. You give us permission to process it to run the service, as described in our privacy notice. You can export your data at any time.

5. Plans and payment

  • Founders: £39 a year, a limited number of places, with the price fixed for as long as you remain a member.
  • Solo monthly: £6.99 a month. Solo annual: £59 a year.
  • Free trial: 30 days from sign-up, no card needed. After it ends your account becomes read-only until you subscribe.
  • Payments are taken by Stripe. We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to these prices.
  • Subscriptions renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings, and access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.

6. Cancellation and refunds

If you are a consumer you have 14 days from subscribing to cancel for a refund, unless you asked us to start the service straight away, in which case we may deduct the value of what you have already used.

To ask for a refund at any time, email hello@keptorganised.com. We review each request and, where we agree, refund it through Stripe to the card you paid with.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, try to break or probe it, upload unlawful content, or use it to record false expenses.

8. Availability

We aim to keep Tidysum running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change features with reasonable notice.

9. Our liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.

Otherwise we are not liable for tax, penalties or interest arising from claims you make based on Tidysum's suggestions, or for indirect losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months.

10. Ending the service

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

11. Changes

We may update these terms and will tell you about material changes before they apply.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have as a consumer in Scotland or Northern Ireland.
